I’m Miss Mona and I’m the house cat for the Kittycat Store, Purrrfection.  Purrrfection is located on Purrrfection Island.

Yes, I know that this outfit is pretty snazzy, and I moonlight as a superhero.

Since I am the HIC (Head Cat in Charge), I thought I would tell you a little bit about me.

I am 1058 days or roughly 3 years old and I’m a SuperCat of the Dynamic Diva line.  You can find me at our main store (I sometimes wander, but don’t tell anyone) on Purrrfection Island – if you see me punching things, just ignore it, I’ve been off my meds.

I really have no clue how I got here.  The last thing I remember is being shoved into a box of cats and shipped off to God knows where with my arch enemy (I hope she is dead) Sweet Pussy Pauline.

I am owned by the four owners of Purrrfection Island – Situ and Tristen Caro and their children Frosty and Anna.  They are lovely people, that find my gacha addiction rather humorous.  Thankfully, there is a Gacha shop located on the property named Oddb4lls.

But, I digress.

Anyways, that’s enough about me – at least for now (wink).  I have put together some basic information blogs to help you on your kittycat journey…

Let me introduce myself.   I am Situ Caro and I own Purrrfection with my husband Tristen Caro and my kids — Frosty and Anna.  We are located on Purrrfection Island.

Miss Mona asked me to write this blog because she cannot pick up other cats and cuddle or play with them.   So, she felt it was more fitting for me to write this one.  Cuddling and playing with your cats is important for the overall happiness of your cat — especially if you are NOT using milk.

This is Kylie.  She is the first Kittycat that I received from my son, Frosty Caro.  You will see Frosty in blogs going forward because he works with me on several projects — including Purrrfection.

Isn’t she stunning?  She is the daughter of Sam and Samantha, who have since retired to KittyCat Heaven (future blog post).

Now if you own a cat you have several options when you play with them.  Let me begin.

First, left click on your cat.  You are going to receive a blue box that looks like this:

This blue box has several options and if you keep reading this blog, you will eventually learn all of them.

In this case, we are concerned with interaction.   Click on INTERACTION and you will receive another blue box.

Here you have several options.   You can lay with your cat or sit with them.   You can also cuddle and hold them or play with them.   Playing with them is fun because you will toss a ball back and forth with your kitty.   Weylin loves to do that with our Megapuss.

Let’s cuddle!  You select the cuddle button and your kittycat will jump into your arms.

I am holding Kylie in my arms and she definitely loves it.

Another thing that you can do is pet your cats.   This one is cool because you do not have to own the cat to be able to pet them.  Simply, right click on the cat and you will get a menu box.  Please note:  It may give you an animation request regarding what sex you are in order for you to interact with the cat.

We have several options and each has their own animation.  I personally love the PLAYING option, because you will lay down on the floor and play with them with a toy.

This is Miss Mona.  I am the HIC (Head Cat In Charge) of Purrrfection, a KittyCat Secondary Market store located on Purrrfection Island.

In this blog post, I am going to teach you the basics about breeding.  This is just a basic primer, but I am sure that Situ (he’s a smarty pants) will give more tips on breeding in future blog posts.

We have decided to breed these two cats:

Aren’t they gorgeous?  They are Tonkinese Natural Mink cats with Exotic Breeze eyes.

Now, I have already done a blog post on how to open up the boxes and you can review that here if you need to.   Remember, it is going to take about 10 minutes for your kittens to be born.

We have named this couple Romeo and Juliet.  Mainly because they are simply stunning cats and they deserve such esteemed names.

Left click on either cat and you are going to get a blue box that comes up.

This is Juliet.   Now as you can see there are many options. Info, to give you info on the cat, text to change the name of the cat, but the one you need to be most concerned about right now is BREED.

Here you have some options.  If you do not want to breed your cats at all, then you would select BREED OFF.   It turns breeding off and when breeding is off, your cats will consume less food — 1 bowl is about 2 months worth of food.

In this case, we are going to breed.  So choose SET PARTNER.

Since Romeo is right next to Juliet, he is already selected.  However, if you wanted to choose another cat to breed with her you could select OTHER CAT and it will let you type in the nearby chat the name of the cat that you would like to breed with her.

The options that we are concerned with is ONE TIME and REPARTNER.   Now, in some cases, you might want to breed your cat with a partner one time — especially, if you decide to become a breeder.   In this instance, and since I love these cats and they are PURE (will explain that in a future blog post), I am going to select REPARTNER, so that I do not have to continue to re-partner them every week. If you do not select REPARTNER, the relationship between the cats will be broken after 11 days.

After you have selected the partnership you desire, you will receive a confirmation box.

Juliet is now partnered with Romeo.   Once she gets to 100% love and her happiness is above 75% she will give birth to a lovely baby.

This is Miss Mona.  I am the HIC (Head Cat in Charge of Purrrfection) a store that sells KittyCats located on Purrrfection Island.

In this blog, I am going to teach you how to buy food and milk for your kittens.

Located in our store on Purrrfection Island, you will find signs that look like these:

When you click on the sign you are going to get a world map box up that brings you to the EXACT place in the KittyCats main store for you to purchase food and milk. (Here is another link if you are not in Purrrfection to the KittyCats store)

So, hit the teleport button and off you go.  You might need to turn around to find the food and milk depending on how you land.

You are going to see a sign that looks like this:

Now click on the size of the food you want.   Let me give you a little bit of info.  1 bowl of food feeds a cat that is breeding for approx 30 days.

During the first week of your kitten’s life — all kittens are fully grown at 7 days, your cat will not drink milk.   Now, to compensate for this, you are going to need to play, cuddle or hold them to give them love and happiness.  I will have Situ show you how to do that on another blog since; obviously, I can’t hold or cuddle cats.

After 7 days, your cat can drink milk.  This is the equivalent of a half an hour of cuddling and decreases the breeding cycle from 10 days to 7 days.  However, some people like to cuddle their cats daily.

Just to reiterate, 1 bowl of milk will last a cat for 30 days.

Cool, huh?

Now, when you purchase your food or milk you are going to have to unpack it and it will land in your inventory with all the bowls shown.

You only need to drag out one of these from your inventory and place it on the floor.

Now, I want to show you one more thing.   It has to do with food settings.

When you place down your food click on it.  You are going to get a blue box.

Now you can see all the options that are available.  Since the SIM that Weylin and Situ live on is parcelled off and has different tenants, they need to set the settings to PARCEL and because they both have cats they have selected ANYONE.  However, if you live with multiple people that have multiple cats and you do not want to share your food and milk with them, then you can set it to MY CATS.  Moreover, if you live on a SIM by yourself, then you could set it to SIM and ANYONE or MY CATS.

There is one more thing I would like to discuss, and that is PERMAPETS.  Some people like to turn their cats into cats that do not require eating.  You can do this once the cat reaches 7 days or adulthood or at 120 days after it has retired its breeding cycle.  These cats do need to be cuddled and held for 30 minutes per day to maintain their happiness.

If you turn right from the food and milk display in the Kittycats store and walk all the way to the end fo the isle, you will find them.

You put the PERMAPET bottle down next to the cat that you want to turn into a PERMAPET, and a blue box will appear and give you further instructions.   This process cannot be reversed — so make sure this is something that you want to do.

This tutorial is to help you purchase one of our amazing Kitty Cats!

First, find the cat that you would like to purchase.  They come in boxes that have what the cat looks like located on the box.

You would then right click the box and you will get a wheel selection tool.

Now, you hit the buy button and purchase your cat.  THEN… make sure you READ THIS CAREFULLY — you then right click the box again and then TAKE it.  It will now appear in your inventory under objects.

There you go.. you now have successfully purchased a kittycat.

I am Miss Mona.  I am the Head Cat In Charge of Purrrfection, which is located on Purrrfection Island.

I am creating this tutorial to help people open their kittycat from the box they are in because it can be tricky.  Many people in SL are used to opening boxes and copying it into their inventory and that will just lead to a damaged cat that you will have to have replaced by KittyCats.

So, here we go…

First, you have purchased your new kitten and you have brought it home to open up the package.

The first thing that you need to do is right click on your box.

You will get the circle wheel gump, and then at the top you will see the word TOUCH.  Go ahead and click it and a blue box will appear in your upper right hand corner of your screen. (BTW, aren’t those Scottish Shorthairs simply gorgeous?)

Once you have your blue box up, you simply click UNPACK which is the top button on the left-hand side of the blue box.

Now you will have two packs that are stirring around in the box.  They will kick a little and try to burst out, but it takes about ten minutes for that to happen.

This is what it will look like:

Most boxes take about 10 minutes to open if you buy them on the secondary market (this is any cat that is not bought from the KitttyCats store).   Starter Kitties purchased from Kittycats will USUALLY take 5 minutes to unpack.

So, if you need to get yourself some milk or catnip, now would be the time to do it!

After 10 minutes, your kitten will be born.  YAY!

You can now right click each cat and select touch again and you get a menu of options.
